A Kingsbury Collection By Karen Kingsbury

I was able to review this book by Karen Kingsbury through blogging for books. Its a collection of 3 full sized christian fiction novels in one volume. This does make the book really really big but its a value because you are getting to read 3 great books in one place.

The stories are all contemporary fiction which is not my favorite to read because I usually pick Victorian or books taking place in the past but I thought I would give these a try.

The first story is titled Where Yesterday Lives-its about a journalist who finds trouble in her life when her father dies from a sudden heart attack. This brings her home to deal with the loss and her family who do not get along really well. It take faith and strength to not only come to grips with the loss but also give her the strength to heal her own personal family issues.

The second book is called- When Joy Came to Stay-Maggie has some problem that cause her to check herself into a clinic. He husband need all the faith he can get while he tries to discover what has went wrong with is wife and has caused her to fall into such despair.

The third book is called -On Every Side-This one is about Faith and Jordan to people who are battling over a statue of Jesus in a park. Faith who is a anchor woman for a news program risks her career by taking the fight to the air. This story is mainly focused on the issue of separation of church and state. But the background of the characters is also interesting.

The nice thing about all of these stories is that Karen Kingsbury does make all the Characters very human with human problems. She writes very good stories that are filled with the issues of today and how faith can help us cope with them. I received a free copy of this book from blogging for books. Thanks for reading my review :)
